Otoplasty

Dr. Loomis performs an Otoplasty to treat abnormally shaped ears, most commonly overly prominent ears.

Dr. Loomis also repairs torn earlobes and the deformities resulting from gauges. The surgery is performed in the office under local anesthesia. (Not a guarantee of results, individual results vary.)

The prominence of the ear is often due to a lack of a normal fold of the ear. The ears may also be prominent due to an excessively large conchal cartilage, an area of cartilage in the center of the ear. In some cases it is a combination of both. (Not a guarantee of results, individual results vary.)

Dr. Loomis uses a suture technique for his otoplasties through a small incision on the back side of the ear. (Not a guarantee of results, individual results vary.)
